THE ROLE
We’re hiring a Solutions Engineer to join our Engineering team in New York City. This is a highly cross-functional, client-facing role where you’ll bridge Product, Engineering, and Sales to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. This is a full-cycle position, partnering across Sales, Implementations, and Customer Success to support clients from initial conversations through launch and ongoing growth.
As a Solutions Engineer, you will:
Partner with Product and Engineering to guide new clients through technical implementation, from initial integration to launch
Support the Sales team by articulating the technical value of Unit’s platform to prospective customers
Act as a trusted advisor to clients: communicating new features, gathering feedback, and advocating for their needs internally
Translate client requirements into actionable solutions, including building prototypes, writing documentation, and developing integration guides
Proactively identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and drive product adoption
This is a highly entrepreneurial role with immediate impact. You’ll play a key part in shaping how clients experience Unit, with the opportunity to help build an industry-defining company from the ground up.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
3+ years in a customer-facing engineering role (e.g., Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Technical Account Manager)
2+ years of experience in fintech, financial services, or SaaS (payments or lending experience is a plus)
Strong technical foundation, including experience working with APIs and explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Ability to operate independently and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
A consultative, customer-first mindset with a track record of understanding and solving client needs
Genuine enthusiasm for fintech and building the future of financial infrastructure
