THE ROLE

We are hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for developing pipelines and scheduling meetings with organizations looking to embed banking infrastructure (accounts, cards, money movement and/or lending) into a new or existing offering.

As we are in hyper-growth mode here at Unit, Sales is critical to our success and BDRs are at the core of our sales organization. We are looking for people who are self-starters, comfortable working in an unstructured environment, inquisitive, friendly, and looking to play a big role in the future of fintech.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build outbound sales strategies to identify quality leads and schedule meetings

  • Quickly qualify and set initial meetings with inbound leads

  • Serve as the first touchpoint with any prospective client and set the tone for all future interactions

  • Serve as an ambassador for the Unit brand - become a product expert and evangelize the benefits of our platform

  • Partner with Unit's leadership team to develop and refine our sales process

  • Engage with product and engineering teams to help drive product strategy

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 1+ years of relevant experience; experience with complex technical products preferred

  • An active listener - you're able to accurately identify the needs of potential clients and propose appropriate solutions

  • Stellar customer service that creates raving fans

  • Self-motivation, passion and energy, coupled with a strong work ethic

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

COMPENSATION

The base salary for this role is expected to be $70,000. In addition, employees at Unit can expect generous benefits and may be eligible for equity and/or variable compensation. The final offer will be determined by factors including experience level, expertise, and location.
