THE ROLE

3.5 years after launch, we’re serving 150+ customers, generating 8 digits in revenues from diverse revenue streams and growing fast. We believe that this is just the beginning: as more financial services make their way into software in the next 5-10 years, we believe that Unit has a tremendous market opportunity ahead of it.

We are hiring a CFO to lead our finance function and make it a central driver of Unit’s future success. The position is based in New York and reports directly to the CEO. We’re looking for a leader who has experience managing finance in complex, high growth software companies with $50m+ in revenues. You will join an excellent leadership team and be responsible for setting the company’s financial objectives, managing a high-performing team, and leading Unit through funding rounds and towards profitability. For the right candidate, this is a rare opportunity to solve hard problems and help build an industry-defining company from the ground up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and develop a world-class finance function covering FP&A, strategic finance, accounting and financial operations (1m+ end-customer accounts, 1m+ monthly transactions, $5b+ in annual payment volumes, 10+ bank partners).

• Partner with the leadership and board on planning, tracking and improving financial results and KPIs, with all stakeholders in mind: clients, partner banks and vendors.

• Guide the board and leadership team through strategic financial decisions, including resource allocation, efficiency, new initiatives, future funding rounds and profitability.
