Your Role

We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Business Operations Associate with a passion for operations and food systems. In this versatile role, you’ll wear many hats—owning key administrative workflows, supporting business, supply, and sales operations—while developing a deep understanding of where our food comes from and how it moves through the supply chain. Your operational support will be key to enabling our team’s success across the business.

If you’re operationally-minded, organized, and self-motivated, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the other qualifications. We’ll provide the training you need.

Your Responsibilities

Business Operations

  • Develop and maintain customer and supplier onboarding processes and paperwork

  • Maintain supplier/farm certifications (organic, food safety) and manage company certifications (e.g., CCOF, ROC), including annual inspections and recertification

  • Support food quality and safety initiatives (FSQA)

  • Become a superuser of our marketplace app and AI and provide actionable feedback to guide product improvements

  • Support basic accounting tasks

  • Lead administrative and organizational projects

Supply Chain / Sales Operations

  • Research and develop supply chains for different product categories (produce, proteins, grains, etc.)

  • Maintain and expand logistics and co-manufacturing partnerships (transportation, warehousing, and processing)

  • Help manage farm profiles, crop calendars, and pricing in our online marketplace app

  • Support customer accounts through order processing and coordination between customers, farmers, and logistics partners

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in business operations, sales, account management, customer service, or related fields—ideally in food, farming, or ranching

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable (if not fearless) calling and emailing businesses and maintaining a rapid response time to push projects forward

  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new software

  • Adaptable and able to prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment

  • Comfortable multitasking and wearing many hats

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with organic compliance and food safety

  • Familiarity with farming, logistics, and manufacturing

  • Passion for improving our food system
