Accounting QA Analyst
Inscope – Full-Time Position
About Us
Inscope is transforming the future of financial reporting and audits through cutting - edge AI. We’re automating how companies generate financial statements and complete audits - work that isn’t glamorous, but is critical. Today, it’s mostly done in Word, Excel, and endless checklists. We’re here to change that.
Our AI-powered tools help accounting and finance leaders accurately draft financial statements, streamline reporting workflows, and reduce audit fatigue. We’re on a mission to build the future of Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Audits - helping professionals focus on insights and strategy instead of repetitive manual tasks.
Now is an incredible time to join. We’re still small, which means everyone makes a foundational difference.
Position Overview
We’re looking for an Accounting QA Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and usability of our financial reporting platform.
This is not a traditional QA role.
Our product is used by auditors and accountants to prepare and review financial statements. Success in this role requires understanding how auditors actually work, identifying where things can go wrong, and proactively testing real-world workflows—not just executing test scripts.
We are specifically looking for someone with 2–3 years of audit or public accounting experience who is excited to transition into a product and QA-focused role.
What You’ll Do
Perform hands-on manual QA testing across core product workflows (financial statements preperation, disclosure generation, rollforward worflows, etc.)
Test features from the perspective of an auditor or preparer, not just a system user
Recreate real-world accounting and reporting scenarios to stress test the product
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to:
Define test cases based on actual customer use cases
Validate new features before release
Ensure regressions are caught across interconnected features
Document bugs clearly with context that engineers can act on quickly
Help improve QA processes, test coverage, and release confidence over time
