Position Overview
We’re looking for a driven and ambitious Founding Sales Development Representative (SDR) to be a critical member of our sales team. As our first SDR, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and scaling our outreach to finance and accounting teams at some of the fastest-growing companies in the world. You’ll collaborate closely with our leadership team to establish a robust sales development strategy and lay the groundwork for long-term success. Our hope is that you either help to lead the team as we scale or position yourself as an account executive on the GTM team.
Key Responsibilities
Build Prospect Lists and ICP: Develop targeted lists of potential customers based on industry insights, strategic outreach, segmentation, and product-market-fit.
Identify & Enrich: Proactively research, identify, and enrich prospect data to target and engage with finance and accounting leaders who can benefit from automating financial reporting and audits.
Orchestration: Research, procure, and manage the latest sales/revops automation tools to optimize outcomes and to execute campaigns
Qualify & Schedule: Qualify inbound leads and coordinate meetings to move prospects into the sales pipeline.
CRM Management: Keep meticulous records of all sales activities in our CRM system.
Strategy Development: Partner with leadership to meet sales goals, analyze current trends, and make recommendations for future improvement
Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance metrics and provide regular reports.
Market Feedback: Share insights from customer interactions to improve targeting and messaging.
Team Building: As the founding SDR, it is our hope this person will help to build and lead a team of SDRs over time
Required Qualifications
Sales Experience: 2-3 years of B2B sales, business development, or a related role in a SaaS company in an early stage company (Series A or earlier)
Outbound Sales Motion: Must have worked in an outbound sales motion (cold calling)
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organization: Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems and sales/revops tools.
Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and stay motivated.
Results-Oriented: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Knowledge: Experience selling to finance, accounting, or audit professionals.
Financial Services Background: Familiarity with financial services, accounting, or audit software.
