About the Role
The private markets team at Caplight runs our pre-IPO marketplace, where hundreds of brokers and clients transact private company blocks every day. As a private markets associate, you’ll work closely with our institutional clients, communicating investment opportunities and leading deal execution.
Responsibilities include:
Finding creative ways to generate revenue with our trading capabilities and data assets. This often includes partnering with other companies to build new products.
Manage deal origination and execution processes. You will help oversee Caplight’s marketplace to ensure all opportunities are being addressed and progressing towards closing.
Create financial analysis and marketing materials to be distributed to clients, journalists, and potential new leads.
Work alongside our Product, Engineering, and Design teams to improve marketplace efficiency and reliability.
Maintain and improve internal workflows centered around project management, data storage, client engagement.
Lead new client acquisition and existing client engagement efforts across Caplight’s marketplace.
Help establish the future technology roadmap based on client feedback.
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in investment banking or sales and trading at a bank, ideally focused on the technology sector.
SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 preferred.
Demonstrated ability to simplify and synthesize complex problems and communicate them to clients and other stakeholders.
Excellent data analysis and presentation skills.
Self-starter: we are looking for individuals who can take a project from 0 to 1 even in scenarios where you may be operating with little to no direction.
In person, San Francisco-based.
