Requirements
THE ROLE
- The Payments and Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for conducting detailed reconciliation of financial transactions and payment records. They assist in the safeguarding of customer funds and processing internal payments that keep the company operational. They play a crucial role in identifying discrepancies, investigating root causes, and resolving payment-related issues that occur in the Paytrix Workflow. The role will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the Treasury Manager with daily safeguarding calculation and transfers
- Reconciling the customer bank accounts to ensure all payments are completed successfully
- Identifying and escalating any errors within reconciliations and payment processing
- Remediating discrepancies internally within strict timeframes
- Working collaboratively within the finance team to ensure the safeguarding of customer funds
- Providing cover for other members of the Finance team
- Reviewing internal finance procedures; creating documentation for new processes as required
- Assisting with audit requests
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in the organisation and incorporate the changes as required
- Promptly respond to information requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Creation of internal payments within the company’s banking portal
- Collaborate with other departments to improve the company's safeguarding process and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Other ad-hoc assignments as and when required
To be successful in this role, you:
- Have at least 3 years full-time experience working directly in banking payments and payments reconciliation
- Have knowledge of safeguarding requirements from regulatory bodies
- Are an expert in Microsoft Excel
- Have proficient knowledge of payment methods and banking practices
- Have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Have a proactive approach with the ability to show personal drive and enthusiasm
- Have high IT literacy skills and competence with adapting to new technologies
Desirable:
- Have experience with Netsuite
- Have experience working in a start up payments company or e-money institution
THE OPPORTUNITY

- You will be working remotely, but getting together IRL at regular intervals to establish personal and meaningful relationships with your team and the rest of the company

We are a remote first business however, most of our team comes into the office 1-2 days a week depending on their role for in person collaboration. Whoever takes on this role should be comfortable with commuting into our London office.
